March 30, 2008: Upcoming Workshop the Rev. Dr. Brian Wren
An interactive workshop led by Rev. Dr. Brian A. Wren, internationally renowned British author, lecturer and hymn writer entitled The Form & Flow of Christian Public Worship will be held at Chilmark Community Church. Some of the topics for discussion will include: the shape of worship; elements of worship; worship history – 2000 years in 20 minutes; choosing songs and hymns; how to hear a sermon; continuity and how to begin and end.
Rev. Dr. Brian Wren is Emeritus Professor of Worship, Columbia Theological Seminary, Decatur, Georgia. His hymn-poems are published in hymnals of all Christian traditions.
